The Kelaviv Guarantee
Every booking made through Kelaviv is backed by our guarantee — reimbursement for eligible vet emergencies and property damage that happen during a stay.
What's covered
Vet Emergency
Reimbursement toward veterinary costs if your pet is injured or has a medical emergency while in a Kelaviv sitter's care during a booking.
Property Damage
Reimbursement for damage to your home or belongings directly caused by the sitter or your pet during a booking.
Third-Party Injury
Injuries to other people (e.g. during a walk) are not covered by the Kelaviv Guarantee. Verified sitters are asked to carry their own liability insurance for this.
How a claim works
Report it
Report the incident through the app within 24 hours — sooner is better.
Submit documentation
Vet invoice or photos of the damage, submitted within 7 days of the incident.
We review it
Kelaviv reviews the claim against the incident report and terms, and follows up directly.
Reimbursement
If approved, we reimburse the amount above the deductible, minus anything your own insurance already covered.
The honest version
- This is not insurance. The Kelaviv Guarantee is a reimbursement promise Kelaviv funds directly — it's not an insurance policy and doesn't replace your own coverage.
- A ₪150 deductible applies per claim before any reimbursement.
- It's secondary to your own insurance. If you have pet or home insurance, the guarantee covers the gap it doesn't — not the full amount again.
- Claims must be for injury or damage that happened during a booking paid through Kelaviv, reported within 24 hours, and documented within 7 days.
- Pre-existing conditions, normal wear and tear, and third-party injuries are not covered.
